According to KTLA and KTTV, the incident occurred about 10:30 p.m. Sunday on Katella Avenue in Garden Grove. Garden Grove police “were conducting citywide enforcement of reckless driving/street racing” when they spotted “a truck doing burnouts,” the department said in an Instagram post Monday.

“During a search of the car, officers located five heavily wrapped packages behind one of the seats,” the post read. “Further investigation determined the items were 5 kilos of cocaine.”

Police said they arrested the suspect, who was taken to the Orange County Jail, according to the post.

Authorities did not release any further details, such as the suspect’s name or what charges were filed, the news outlets reported.
