According to KSWB-TV, Airbnb announced Tuesday that a recreation of the iconic van will be available for three one-night stays later this month in honor of the live-action “Scooby-Doo” film’s 20th anniversary. Beginning at 1 p.m. EDT Thursday, potential guests will be able to request a $20-a-night booking for June 24, 25 or 26, the vacation rental site wrote in a news release.

“This summer, guests can live out their van-life dreams along the Southern California coastline while staying overnight in Shaggy and Scooby’s vehicle,” the release read.

Actor Matthew Lillard, who played Shaggy in the 2002 flick, is listed as the host of the stays, which will take place off the coast of Malibu, KSWB reported.

“I’ve been channeling Shaggy since the live-action adaptation in 2002, and he’s been a part of me ever since,” Lillard said in a statement. “I can’t wait to welcome guests into the world of the Mystery Inc. gang as their Airbnb Host and give them a summer vacation they’ll never forget … monsters not included!”

The van can accommodate two guests per night, the release said. Each stay will include “a virtual greeting from Lillard,” 2002 paraphernalia, snacks and food, a “late-night re-watch” of the movie, mystery games, and “an outdoor setup with enough lounge seating and hammock space for the whole gang to vibe out,” Airbnb said.

The website added that the stays are not part of a contest, and the lucky guests who secure a booking must make their own travel arrangements to get to Malibu, according to the release.
