According to WPVI and WTXF, the fire broke out shortly before 10 p.m. on North Croskey Street in northern Philadelphia. Fire crews said three men escaped from the home’s second floor by jumping out of a window.
Authorities later discovered the bodies of a man and a woman inside, the news outlets reported. Another man died after he was taken to a nearby hospital, WPVI reported. A fourth person remains hospitalized with critical injuries, officials said.
It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the fire, authorities said. Officials have not released the victims’ names.
