A representative for Katharine McPhee confirmed that the “Smash” actress has given birth to a son with husband David Foster, People reported.
McPhee, 36, announced in October that she and Foster were expecting their first child together, the website reported. She displayed photos of her baby bump in a December post on Instagram.
“Katharine McPhee and David Foster have welcomed a healthy baby boy,” representative Leslie Sloane told People. “Mom, Dad and son are all doing wonderfully.”

The couple met in 2006 when Foster, 71, mentored McPhee on Season 5 of ABC’s “American Idol,” USA Today reported.
They were married at the Church of Saint Yeghiche in London on June 28, 2019, according to US Weekly and People.
Foster is already father to three adult daughters from his second wife, Rebecca Dyer, People reported. He also has two older daughters from previous relationships, according to the website.
