In a heartbreaking announcement on social media, Cristiano Ronaldo announced his newborn son had passed away.
In the Instagram post, Ronaldo said, “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. … Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
Ronaldo and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, had previously announced they were pregnant with both a boy and a girl, People Magazine reported. In an Instagram post announcing the twins, the couple appeared in bed holding sonogram photos.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez began their relationship in 2016 and already share one child, Alana Martina, together, Fox News reported. Ronaldo also has three children, one from a previous relationship and twins born via surrogate, Fox News reported.
