A: It could just be the weight of the flowerhead, or a phenomenon called ‘phototropism’, where the plant bends towards the brightest light. I don’t think there’s any need to worry.
Just for fun, here are some other “-tropisms”. They may explain some unusual plant behaviors!
Heliotropism - stems and flowers follow the path of the sun. This is why you notice many flowers facing east at the start of the morning- they’re waiting on that sun.
Thigmotropism - plants grow onto a solid object. Climbing plants and vines throw out tendrils, which are a display of positive thigmotropism.
Hydrotropism - directional growth in response to water. Naturally, roots grow towards higher water concentrations and higher humidity.
Thermotropism - plant movement in response to heat or temperature changes. Some plant leaves curl in response to cold.
