WALTER’S WONDERING: Getting ahead of English ivy

The cooler weather makes for a great time to go after English ivy, paying special attention to the trees that are wrapped up with it. Arborists recommend cutting it at the base of the tree, and removing vines at least three feet up the trunk. Be conscious to try and not remove bark with the vines.
