WALTER’S WONDERING: Is winter weather going to hurt bulb foliage peeking out of the ground?

Warm weather was with us well into November this year. Daffodils and other spring flowering bulbs are already shooting green, blady leaves out of the ground. Protect your bulbs by sprinkling pine straw over bulb foliage that has emerged too soon. The green leaves won’t be hurt by the cold, and the straw will help hide them.
