ATHENS — Moments after winning the SEC Championship, Kirby Smart took the microphone to note just how difficult the Georgia schedule was this past season.
“That means rest for a team that Greg Sankey and his staff sent on the road all the year long,” Smart said on the field after earning a bye in the College Football Playoff.
That Georgia was able to navigate a schedule that featured six games against the top 16 teams in the final College Football Playoff rankings makes what the Bulldogs did this past season all the more impressive.
And Georgia will have to do something similar in 2025, as they have now seen the schedule for next season.
