Georgia ‘Philly Dawgs’ headed to Super Bowl as Eagles beat Commanders

ATHENS — Georgia’s “Philly Dawgs” are headed to the Super Bowl after Philadelphia’s 55-23 NFL Championship Game win over Washington on Sunday.

Former Georgia national championship defensive linemen Nolan Smith, Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter kept the heat on Commanders’ quarterback Jayden Daniels throughout the afternoon as the Eagles’ offense pulled away.

It appears Philadelphia executive vice president and GM Howie Roseman had a crystal ball when he shared his confidence in Georgia products in an exclusive interview with DawgNation.

“We have tremendous respect for Coach Smart and the program he has developed,” Roseman said at the 2023 NFL Combine.
