NEW ORLEANS — The Sugar Bowl has provided a further update regarding the status of Thursday’s game between Notre Dame and Georgia.

The game will start at 4 p.m. ET, 3 p.m. CT, with ABC broadcasting the game.

The Sugar Bowl director Jeff Hundley had initially stated the game would postponed 24 hours but noted that an official update would provided later.

The postponement of the game comes after investigators said a driver intentionally drove around police barricades and struck and killed several people early Wednesday in the French Quarter of New Orleans.
