AUGUSTA, Ga. — An Atlanta man is enjoying the Masters for the first time in his life, and it’s not because he won the ticket lottery.

Scott Stallings is a realtor in Atlanta and he’s been trying to get tickets to the Masters for 15 years. He just had no idea that receiving the wrong piece of mail would help him finally get there.

Turns out, there are two Scott Stallings. Neither of the men are related, but they share the same name.

The other Scott is a three-time PGA Tour winner competing on the sacred Augusta National Golf Course for the third time in his career.

“It was probably five or six years ago when I saw him on TV and realized wow there’s another guy that has my name playing golf. So every time I saw him playing on TV I’d take a picture and post it on Facebook,” said Stallings.

For Stallings, this is a lifelong dream being fulfilled.

“I feel like we’ve just entered the adult Disney land,” said Stallings.

Last New Years’ Eve, their paths crossed when the invitation to play in this year’s Masters was sent to the wrong Scott Stallings.

“The road to the Masters is long...couldn’t write this stuff if you tried to,” said Stallings.

So, realtor Scott sent the invitation back to the rightful owner, and in return golfer Scott hooked him up with tickets and an invitation to join him for dinner.

“Just the excitement of receiving anything from August National and then you know kind of hearing the back and forth of him thinking that was his tickets and it was ticket just the different kind of golden ticket,” said Stallings.

But that’s not all Scott gave him. He also surprised him with a once in a lifetime gift.

We just thought he was going to give us tickets and that would be the end of it...he brings us this brown wrapped package. Turns out, he framed the invitation and signed it from one Scott Stallings to the next— — I can’t believe it. It’s amazing. I said you can’t part with the invitation. He said it’s done its job,” said Stallings.

And the similarities don’t stop at their names. Both of their wives are also named Jenny.

When asked who he thinks is going to win the Masters on Sunday, realtor Scott said “Scott Stallings, I just have a feeling.”
