One century ago, WSB Radio began broadcasting in Atlanta, Georgia by airing the weather bulletin of the day for March 15, 1922.
In fact, the first broadcast on WSB was the Weather Bulletin, and only the weather bulletin was authorized until the station received full authorization later in 1922.
Did you know: The first broadcast on @wsbradio was the Weather Bulletin? 95.5 WSB was only authorized to broadcast weather before receiving full authorization in 1922. WSB officially turns 100 years old today! More historical info here: https://t.co/QmBdOKXMGp #ATLwx #GAwx pic.twitter.com/VItxDxTaAg

While the text of the first weather bulletin is lost to the ages, I was able to find the Daily Weather Map posted the day WSB first signed on the air in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to the surface observations map at 8 a.m., low pressure was centered over central North Carolina, producing cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid 50s in Atlanta.
According to the weather glyphs on the map and analysis on the right, thunderstorms and rain were observed in Atlanta. The barometric pressure analyzed that day was 29.84 inches, a drop of 0.12 inches from 12 hours prior. The dry bulb temperature was 52 degrees, a drop of 4 degrees in 24 hours. The high temperature from the day before was 74 degrees, and the night’s low was 52. The wind “velocity” was 14 mph, and as much as 0.64 inches of rain was registered over the previous 24 hours.
