Today is forecast to hit 90 again, which would be the 86th day highs have hit that reading this year. This month is the second warmest September on record in Atlanta dating back to 1878, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan.

Metro Atlanta will continue with above-average temperatures in the upcoming week. It won’t be until next weekend that temperatures will drop to feel more like the season.
